Could You Be Pregnant?
Besides getting a positive result on a pregnancy test, there are a number of things you might notice that indicate a pregnancy. These are the result of increased hormones from the pregnancy.
Missing Your Period
The most common thing people look for is a missed period, and this will frequently mean you are pregnant. If the hormone levels are not high enough then you may not completely miss the first period during the pregnancy. Sometimes, there may be spotting and/or cramping caused by the fertilized egg attaching to the uterine wall.
Needing to Go to the Bathroom More Often
Because of increased hormones in your body, you may find yourself urinating more often than normal.
Nausea and/or Vomiting
A common sign of pregnancy is “morning sickness”, which can actually happen at any time during the day, or all day.
Generally, the extra hormones cause changes in your breasts. They may be tender, and may even increase in size.
It is common to feel more tired when pregnant than you are used to feeling. Napping in the first trimester may help.
During pregnancy many women find that they want different foods than they did previously. This may even include strange cravings, and strong aversions to foods they used to like.
